Annual Sports Week, 2076

Annual Sports Week, 2076

A high pitched enthusiasm for games.

The Annual Sports Meet, 2076 at Nirvana Academy which had its grand finale on Thursday December 5/ Mangsir 19th and Friday December 6/ Mangsir 20th should be called a reflection of the rigorous practice in different areas of sports given to the students. The sports aspirants had all the zeal and pro-active reflexes always intact for the different games they were into.

The inaugural ceremony of Annual Sports Meet, 2076 held in Army Club Ground, Chhauni, Swoyambhu had Mr. Pradeep Joshi,  Vice President, World University Taekwondo Federation as Chief guest and Mr. Raj Kumar Karki, General Secretary of ISF and National Taekwondo Association, Nepal as Guest of honor.

We, at Nirvana Academy accept that sports is a holistic approach towards personality development. It trains us to be disciplined, zealous and industrious. To move ahead in life is the expression underlined.

The Sports bonanza comprised of 50 odd events including Drill exercise by Kindergarten to Grade III students and March Past by students from Grade IV to X. The Martial Arts Demo was one more lucrative presentation of the Sports Meet.

As a matter of fact, all the above mentioned presentations proved to be show stealers.

The medal tally put Galileo House(Green House) on the top in junior category with 5 gold 3 silver and 2 bronze medals. While in the Senior category Araniko (Red) House stood first with 5 gold, 5 silver and 4 bronze medals to its credit.

The Best Athlete was bagged by Jenisha Magar(Galileo/Green) from Junior Girls, Kavya Bikram Dangi(Milton/Yellow) from Junior Boys, Sristi Shrestha(Araniko/Red) from Senior Girls and Rohan Simkhada(Galileo/Green) from Senior Boys.

We have added another lustrous category of prize that is; Promising Player, with a motive to inject an added attraction for students to crave for the better performance.
